Post-humanistic intelligence: the culture of intellectual labor in the era of symbiosis with artificial intelligence
Abstract
Introduction: the penetration of large language models (LLM) into academic and professional practice marks a paradigm shift in intellectual work: from an autonomous thinking subject to responsible collaboration with artificial intelligence. There is a theoretical vacuum: classical models do not describe the hybrid nature of modern intelligent production. The purpose of the article is to conceptualize the transformation of the culture of intellectual labor in the era of symbiosis with AI. Materials and Methods: the research material includes a corpus of scientific publications on the philosophy and sociology of technology (works by V.P. Kuzovlev, B. Latour, E. Clark, D. Haraway), open reports on interaction with LLM, as well as cases of the introduction of generative models in education and science. The methodological basis was a synthesis of actor-network theory, the concept of distributed cognition and posthumanism. The methods of critical conceptual analysis, theoretical modeling and ethical and normative reflection are applied. Results: it is shown that LLMs act not as a tool, but as an active participant in the intellectual process, which deconstructs the classical autonomy of the subject. The key competencies of hybrid work are industrial engineering, critical verification, interpretation, and creative synthesis. The ethical and methodological imperatives of symbiosis are formulated: transparency of the use of AI, epistemological responsibility of man, dialogic methodology. The integral concept of "post-humanistic intelligence" is proposed – an indecomposable assembly of "human–AI" as a new unit of knowledge production. Discussion and Conclusion: the work contributes to the sociology of digital technologies by offering a theoretical framework for the analysis of hybrid cognitive systems. The results raise the question of the need to adapt educational and professional standards, as well as criteria of academic authorship to the realities of cooperation with artificial intelligence.
