Abstract

Geochemical methods have always occupied a leading position in the system of geological exploration of the subsoil and mineral prospecting. The hierarchy of multi-scale geochemical surveys established during the Soviet period corresponded to the stages and phases of geological exploration and was based on the principle of successive approaches to the prospecting object—the mineral deposit. Violation of this conceptual principle led to the loss of the prospecting object. In this regard, the decision to reintroduce geochemical prospecting at a scale of 1:50 000 as a standalone method seems justified and timely. This article is devoted to some existing problems and their solutions on the way to the emerging transition.
