Abstract

Patellar fractures are more common in adults than children, but their diagnosis in pediatric cases is challenging due to the developmental and ossification process of the patella. Sleeve fractures, specific to children, involve small bone fragments with a chondral component breaking off from the ossification center. Surgical management is similar to that in adults.
