Abstract

Early mobilization following fractures in the pediatric population necessitates specific attention in order to promote a return to sports and social activities. Children are more vulnerable than adults to the emo-tional effects of fracture therapy. As a result, treatment planning should prioritize the earliest possible mobilization strategy. An early mobilization strategy should be tailored to the pediatric age group and fracture type, requiring interdisciplinary collaboration among orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation specialists. This chapter will give a thorough yet practical approach to early mobi-lization in pediatric fractures, with the goal of improving functional outcomes, speeding up recovery, and providing an evidence-based framework to help orthopedic surgeons make therapeutic decisions.
