INFERIOR PEDICLED ONCOPLASTY
Abstract
Wise pattern mammoplasty was originally used for breast reduction but its use has now been expanded to therapeutic mammoplasty in patients with breast cancer. Different pedicles could be used during wise pattern mammoplasty. This chapter will describe the indications, contraindications and usefulness of the wise pattern inferior pedicled technique in patients with breast cancer. Highlights included a detailed step by step illustration of the wise pattern inferior pedicled therapeutic mammoplasty. Lim-itations of this technique and tips and tricks to overcome these limitations were discussed too.
