PREOPERATIVE PREPARATION IN ONCOPLASTIC BREAST SURGERY
Abstract
Preoperative preparation in oncoplastic breast surgery is a multidisciplinary process that aims to op-timize surgical outcomes, enhance patient satisfaction, and minimize complications. This process in-volves comprehensive clinical evaluations, psychological assessments, and patient-centered communi-cation. Patients should be educated about the planned surgical procedure, postoperative recovery, and potential complications. Key components of preoperative preparation include assessing patient-spe-cific factors such as comorbidities, body mass index, and psychological readiness. Additionally, con-sultations with surgeons and breast care nurses play a vital role in addressing patient concerns and managing expectations.
