Tek Sağlık Yaklaşımının Ulusal Stratejilere Entegrasyonu
Abstract
The One Health approach represents a holistic paradigm that emphasizes the intrinsic interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. It provides a comprehensive and sustainable framework for addressing complex global challenges such as zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, food security, and environmental degradation (Socha ve ark., 2022). Supported by prominent international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH/OIE), and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), One Health has become increasingly important, particularly in the post-pandemic era, when global health governance mechanisms are being critically tested. At the national level, effective implementation of the One Health model requires coordinated action across multiple sectors, particularly those responsible for public health, veterinary medicine, agriculture, and environmental management. This article examines the conceptual foundations of the One Health approach, its implementation mechanisms, governance structures, and its integration into national strategies, discussing the multifaceted challenges encountered. The study also offers policy recommendations aimed at fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthening data-sharing infrastructures, improving research capacity, and enhancing community-level participation. Establishing a coherent national framework for One Health is vital to ensuring preparedness, resilience and sustainability against evolving global health threats.
