Abstract
Safety is at the heart of rail transport. Accurate assessment of the technical condition of rail infrastructure is the basis for rail transport safety. Most modern manufacturers and infrastructure managers devote financial resources to developing technologies that increase reliability and reduce operating costs, which increase significantly with the transferred operating load. It is very important to use diagnostic tools that correctly shape the infrastructure maintenance process, thereby directly affecting safety, reliability and availability.
