Abstract

Abstract This article employs an experimental writing methodology that mirrors quantum mechanical principles of uncertainty and discontinuity, deliberately making “quantum leaps” between ideas to embody the quantum concepts it explores. The work examines the intersection of quantum mechanics, care ethics, and aesthetic education through both theoretical inquiry and artistic practice. Drawing on Lucretius's concept of the clinamen and Werner Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, I argue that quantum phenomena fundamentally shape contemporary social and cultural experiences, requiring new forms of understanding that resist conventional academic clarity. The article introduces an “aesthetics of care” grounded in Aristotelian provocations and relational ethics, contrasting “intelligent” care—adaptive, empathetic, and uncertainty-embracing—with the “unintelligent” care driven by fear and rigidity. Through visual art practice and nonlinear theoretical reflection, the essay examines how artificial intelligence and quantum computing blur boundaries between human creativity and machine intelligence, challenging traditional notions of meaning and authorship. The article argues for a “care-temporary” art that deliberately resists definitive conclusions and instead cultivates engagement with uncertainty and ambiguity in order to navigate an increasingly fragmented and unpredictable world.
