Analisis Peran Komunikasi Non-Formal dalam Membangun Budaya Kerja dan Meningkatkan Kinerja di Barbershop Pulang Ganteng Waioti, Kabupaten Sikka
Abstract
This study aims to analyze how informal communication plays a role in building a work culture and improving employee performance at the Pulang Ganteng Waioti Barbershop in Sikka Regency. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the owner and 3 employees, as well as participant observation over a period of 4 weeks. The results showed that informal communication, in the form of casual chats, jokes, and emotional support between the owner and employees, can build a work culture based on trust, togetherness, and a sense of belonging. In addition, informal communication also facilitates the exchange of knowledge about shaving techniques, customer handling, and service innovation, which has a positive impact on improving employee performance and customer satisfaction. The conclusion of this study is that informal communication is not only a means of entertainment, but also an important tool in building a healthy work culture and improving performance in the barbershop. The implications of this study are expected to serve as a reference for other micro-business owners in managing informal communication to achieve business goals.
