Abstract

This study reviews the application of M22 Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology in the field of ophthalmology. It elaborates on the evolutionary history and theoretical basis of this technology, and conducts an in-depth analysis of its latest research progress in the treatment of ophthalmic diseases (such as dry eye disease and retinal vascular diseases) as well as periorbital skin disorders. Meanwhile, this paper also evaluates the safety of this therapeutic method and its potential adverse reactions. Looking ahead, through continuous technological improvement, expansion of therapeutic indications and exploration of combined treatment regimens, M22 IPL technology is expected to significantly promote the advancement of ophthalmic medicine and provide innovative perspectives and methods for the treatment strategies of ophthalmic diseases.
