Awareness and Practices of Family Planning Methods in Women Attending York St John University
Abstract
The process of determining a person's desired number of children, whether or not they want any at all, and when they want them is known as family planning. Family planning decisions may be influenced by a number of factors, including financial conditions, employment or career considerations, and marital status. Therefore, expanding reproductive health and empowering people to make knowledgeable decisions about their reproductive options depend on the availability of inclusive and easily measurable family planning services. The purpose of this study was to assess the family planning services provided to students and investigate the experiences of female York St. John University students with regard to family planning practices. Purposive sampling was used to choose the participants for the study, which used a qualitative research methodology. In-depth interviews and focus groups were used to gather data, and thematic analysis was used to examine the non-numerical data. The accessible family planning services were well-known to the participants. The results of this study will help us better understand how these students experience family planning, and they can be used to improve reproductive healthcare services, improve current practices, and serve as a foundation for future research.
