Abstract

-PO4- balance. Renal effects include predisposition to calcium-oxalate stones and acceleration of chronic kidney disease through inflammatory mechanisms. Overall, this review aims to explore the physiological effects of metabolic acidosis, highlighting mechanism contributing to organ dysfunction.
