From Training to Engagement: Learning Strategies Innovation for Employee Development in the Luxury Retail Industry
Abstract
Against the backdrop of rapid changes in the global luxury retail industry and high turnover rates among frontline employees, traditional learning models based on lectures and centralized training can no longer meet the industry's needs for immediate, contextualized, and transferable learning. Currently, frontline employees generally face problems such as fragmented learning time, heavy pressure to update knowledge, and insufficient learning motivation, making "from training to participation" a crucial issue in luxury retail talent development. This study aims to explore how to build a highly participatory and sustainable learning ecosystem for luxury retail through three strategies: user-generated content (UGC), gamification, and community-based learning. Through literature review and industry case analysis, the study reveals the complementary effects of these three strategies in terms of content sources, learning motivation, and cultural accumulation. The results show that the integration of multiple strategies can significantly improve knowledge retention, learning motivation, and practical application capabilities in sales scenarios, providing an effective learning innovation path for the luxury retail industry in a digital and increasingly competitive talent environment.
