Abstract

Technological, informational, and digital developments in the current era of digital disruption have influenced various dynamics in the lives of the younger generation (Gen Z). These conditions have given rise to a polarization of lifestyles characterized by consumerism, materialism, individualism, and hedonism. This kind of life orientation is highly susceptible to triggering a moral crisis. This study aims to explore the concept of revitalizing Islamic Education values in response to the moral crisis of Generation Z in the era of digital disruption. This study is categorized as qualitative research with a library research approach. Data was obtained through various literature reviews, such as Scopus, ScienceDirect, Consensius, and conference proceedings. The findings show that Islamic education values such as honesty, responsibility, fairness, patience, politeness, tolerance, trustworthiness, and humility are relevant in minimizing the emergence of moral crises among the current young generation (Gen Z). This needs to be supported by learning designs developed by teachers through a contextual approach, one of which is through moral modeling education. Given the complexity of the challenges and demands of an increasingly comprehensive era, a learning approach that is only conceptual-theoretical is no longer relevant.
