Abstract

Logistics has always been related to the process of transport planning, supply and distribution in hotel management. Logistics operations that promote the competitiveness of tourism enterprises are examples of this statement. Taking into account the importance of logistics in hotel management, this article aims to analyze the logistics management process in the main hotels in the city of Luanda. The study is qualitative in nature, as it combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative aspect was based on the subjective interpretation of respondents' responses, while the quantitative aspect used data quantification with the support of Excel™ software. The adoption of this mixed approach allowed for a more complete and rigorous analysis, making it possible to achieve the proposed objectives. the study is exploratory and descriptive in nature, using an inductive reasoning approach. With the support of bibliographical research and fieldwork, it was possible to conclude that there are difficulties in the management process of the city's hotels, related to the supply of products, staff shortages and working conditions. To counter these problems, logistics management in hotels must be based on an integrated system, with reliable suppliers and committed internal teams, aiming for a single objective: generating value for everyone involved.
