Abstract

Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) has become a strategic lever for fostering sustainable workplace outcomes by integrating environmental priorities into human resource policies. This study investigates the influence of GHRM practices on organizational sustainability, with employee green behavior and environmental performance acting as mediators. A quantitative survey was conducted with 300 employees from clinical research organizations in India. Structural equation modeling (SEM) revealed that GHRM practices positively affect organizational sustainability both directly and indirectly through enhanced employee pro-environmental behavior and improved environmental performance. Comparative analysis with cross-sector research supports the robustness of these relationships. Practical and theoretical implications for HR managers seeking to embed sustainability into policy frameworks are discussed.
