Abstract

In 2025, the Czech Chemical Society's Expert Group on Chemical Education celebrated 60 years of active work in the field of chemistry education and teaching in the Czech Republic and abroad. Since its establishment in 1965, the group has become a key platform for meetings between educators, teachers, and professional chemists, participating in the modernization of the curriculum, the creation of textbooks, the organization of conferences, and the creation and development of the Chemistry Olympiad. It has contributed significantly to international cooperation, the establishment of doctoral studies in chemistry education, and the promotion of innovation in education. It continues its activities today with the aim of supporting high-quality chemistry education and ensuring a sufficient number of experts for future scientific and industrial development.
