Abstract

Continuous, rhythmic delivery of harvested wood to consumers plays an important role in the sustainable functioning and development of enterprises in the forest industry of the northern regions. Historically, the insufficiently developed transport infrastructure of the Arkhangelsk region complicates the implementation of planned indicators for the transportation of timber and, not ensuring the uniformity of wood supplies throughout the year, thereby reduces the efficiency of forest resource development. The ambiguous transport situation in the field of forest management in the region is determined by many reasons: geographically dispersed production process, lack of year-round forest roads, harsh climate, etc. The analysis of factors based on the actual accounting data of enterprises of the forestry industry is an important link in ensuring the sustainable functioning and development of the timber industry complex of the Arkhangelsk region. One of the reasons, as one of the many determinants affecting the sustainable, efficient functioning of the timber industry, is the study of the rhythmic factor of transport support for forestry enterprises. Based on the analysis of reporting data located in freely accessible sources, calculation of results and forecasting, the purpose of the article is to assess the impact of the share of year-round highways in the total length of forest roads on the rhythmic removal of timber by the timber industry complex of the Arkhangelsk region using the example of Titan Group of Companies and, also, forecasting on this basis the economically justified share of year-round forest roads. Subsequent calculations based on the company's data and reports on technical support, staff and qualifications, staff turnover, social security of employees, etc., may, in the future, using methods of economic and mathematical analysis, contribute to the compilation of a cluster of determinants that affect the efficiency of the facility under study.
