Abstract

1. INTRODUCTION The quality of materials used in construction is paramount for ensuring the safety, durability, and sustainability of buildings. High-quality materials are essential for maintaining the structural integrity of a building, preventing issues like cracking, corrosion, and weakening of structural elements. This, in turn, ensures the safety of the occupants and reduces the risk of structural failures, partial or complete collapses, and damage during natural disasters. Moreover, high-quality materials contribute to the longevity of a building by withstanding environmental factors like weathering, temperature fluctuations, and chemical exposure. They also often have a longer lifespan, minimizing the need for frequent repairs and replacements, which translates to less waste generation and a reduced environmental impact associated with material production and transportation.
