Traditional Chinese Medicine ointment massage combined with finger acupoint pressing in the treatment of postoperative pain in a patient with anal fistula

This paper summarizes the clinical effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) ointment massage combined with finger acupoint pressing in the treatment of postoperative pain in patients with anal fistula. Nursing staff conducted a comprehensive nursing assessment, based on TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment for a patient with postoperative pain after anal fistula surgery. On the basis of routine nursing care such as daily living guidance and dietary instructions, the patient was given combined Chinese herbal ointment massage and finger acupoint pressing. After treatment and nursing, the intensity of pain gradually decreased, anxiety was alleviated, and the patient was satisfied with integrated TCM and western nursing interventions.
