Abstract

This paper presents a new electronic warfare (EW) system based on a full-duplex structure for simultaneous execution of data-link for receiving missions with allies and high-power electronic attack (EA). An adaptive wide-band jamming-interference cancellation board based on a feedback structure was designed and verified to minimize the self-jamming-interference signal that inevitably occurs due to the application of a full-duplex communication structure. The proposed self-jamming interference cancellation board employs a feedback structure to effectively cancel the interference from jamming signals with various frequencies and bandwidths. Measurement results confirm that the implemented Self Jamming-Interference Cancellation Board established that the CW signal within the frequency range of 200~2,200 MHz and the FM jamming signal with a bandwidth of 4 MHz could be suppressed and that it had signal cancellation characteristics of at least 40 dB and 30 dB compared with the jamming interference signal, respectively.
