Coloring black and while photos with OpenCV and deep learning
Abstract
With the development of AI in recent years, there are more and more good image editing software, helping us save more time compared to using specialized tools like Photoshop. Some good applications of AI in this field are adding color to black and white photos (Image Colorization), adding frames to videos (Video frame Interpolation), increasing the resolution of videos (Super Resolution).... However, this is a challenging problem and often requires manual adjustments to achieve noise-free image quality. To address this issue, the paper proposes a fully automatic and high-quality colorization solution, based on a reference image database.
