Abstract

A self-balancing robot is an intelligent, two-wheeled vehicle designed to maintain equilibrium using advanced control algorithms and sensor integration. This project utilizes the concept of the inverted pendulum, where stability is achieved by continuously adjusting motor responses based on input from gyroscopes and accelerometers. The microcontroller processes real-time sensor data and directs motor movements using feedback mechanisms, primarily a PID controller, to maintain the robot's vertical orientation despite external disturbances. The successful implementation of a self-balancing robot demonstrates robust design, effective programming, and the practical application of dynamic system control, paving the way for further research and industrial adoption in mobile robotics. The main aim of this project is to design and implement a robot capable of balancing itself automatically while responding to external disturbances. The self-balancing robot is designed to maintain an upright position by continuously adjusting its movement based on sensor feedback
