Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Siswaterbaik di SMP 101 Jakarta Barat Menggunakan Metode SAW

As a result of the evaluation of student learning for 1 year, it is necessary to select the best students before the class promotion. This activity is carried out to appreciate the achievements obtained by students at school, which will have an impact on the enthusiasm of students to improve the good name of the school and improve achievements outside of school. There are several problems faced by SMP 101 West Jakarta in selecting the best students which is usually done before the class promotion. Obstacles for the school in making decisions, where in making decisions the best students still use manual classification, because many criteria need to be used in the selection. The selection of inappropriate criteria can provide a less objective assessment for the best prospective students to be selected, so a Decision Support System (DSS) is needed that can assist in decision making. The purpose of this study is as an alternative for schools to determine the best students not only based on academic grades, so that the selection becomes more objective based on new relevant assessment criteria and weight calculations provided in the system. The method that will be used is the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) Method, by providing certain criteria, then the one with the highest average final value weight will be the final decision for eligibility in selecting the best students. From the results of calculations using the SAW method, the student name Alycka Aprilya Kurniawan obtained a preference value of 97.0.
