SISTEM PENDUKUNG KEPUTUSAN PEMBERIAN DANA BANTUAN KEPADA SISWA KURANG MAMPU MENGGUNAKAN METODE DECISION TREE

Education is a fundamental right of every citizen as guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution of Indonesia.However, in practice, the selection process for educational financial aid programs such as Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) is often carried out manually and tends to be subjective, resulting in mistargeted aid distribution.This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) to help schools determine students' eligibility for financial aid in an objective, accurate, and efficient manner.The method used in this research is the Decision Tree C4.5 algorithm, which classifies data based on attributes such as parents' income, number of dependents, and academic achievement.The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Aesesa Selatan, using 50 student records -consisting of 39 real student data and 11 additional simulated data to optimize the classification process.The system was developed as a web-based application using PHP and MySQL, featuring student data management, automatic classification, and printable result reports.The final result shows that the system successfully classifies student eligibility in accordance with manual calculations, while significantly improving the speed and objectivity of the selection process.This system is expected to serve as a solution for schools to distribute educational financial aid more precisely and effectively.
