Exploring the Roles of Environmental Management Tools in Advancing Sustainable Research and Innovation
Abstract
Environmental management tools are essential instruments for addressing the growing complexity of environmental challenges and promoting sustainable development. This review Explore the Role of Environmental Management Tools in Advancing Sustainable Research and Innovation, it examines how tools such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and Remote Sensing (RS) contribute to Environmental management research.A systematic literature review was conducted using major academic databases, including Science Direct, Scopus, Springer Link, and Google Scholar. The review identified that these tools play a critical role in assessing environmental impacts, supporting evidence-based decisionmaking, and fostering innovation across sectors such as agriculture, waste management, urban development, and climate change research.Findings also reveal several challenges that include data limitations, high implementation costs, technical skill gaps, and inconsistencies in methodological applications, particularly in developing countries. The study recommends strengthening technical capacity, improving access to high-quality environmental data, harmonizing assessment standards, and promoting interdisciplinary integration of these tools.
