Abstract

Psychosocial risk factors have a direct impact on the work productivity of workers in the shrimp industry in the Yaguachi canton. The study analyzes psychosocial risk factors in relation to the work productivity of workers in the shrimp industry in the Yaguachi canton, taking into account working conditions, work organization, and the psychosocial environment. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach, with a descriptive scope and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 400 male and female workers in the areas of production, packaging, logistics, supervision, and administration, selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. To collect the data, the Ecuadorian Ministry of Labor’s Questionnaire for the Assessment of Psychosocial Risk in the Workplace was used, which evaluates dimensions such as workload and work pace, skill development, scope of action and control, recovery, support, and discriminatory harassment. The data obtained were processed using Excel statistical software, which allowed for the systematization and analysis of frequencies and percentages. The results show that, overall, 58% of workers have a low level of psychosocial risk, 41% have a medium level, and 1% have a high level.
