Insight forms: automated analysis of educational feedback using python and generative AI
Abstract
This article presents the development of an automated educational feedback analysis system integrating Python, Pandas, Google Forms, Google Sheets, and generative artificial intelligence models. The goal is to transform questionnaire data into structured textual reports, improving the efficiency of information interpretation and supporting pedagogical and administrative processes within educational institutions. The system also enables a broader visualization through a web-based interface. The project outlines the main requirements and functionalities of the system, designed to process spreadsheet responses, identify question patterns, and generate interpretive analyses using the Gemini (Google AI) model. The modeling approach follows education-oriented workflows, covering data collection, processing, statistical analysis, and automatic generation of formal reports. Tools such as the Google Sheets API and the gspread library were employed to ensure integration with online forms, while Pandas facilitated data organization and manipulation. The communication layer leveraged generative AI to structure reports into reusable sections, making interpretation easier for coordinators and managers without advanced technical knowledge. The backend was developed using FastAPI for secure and fast data processing, while the user interface was implemented with Streamlit, offering an intuitive and interactive visualization of reports directly in the browser. This automation reduces human error, standardizes communication, and accelerates evidence-based decision-making. Furthermore, it promotes the democratization of data science in education, broadening digital inclusion among teachers and administrators. Future improvements include integration with visual dashboards and comparative performance metrics. The article reinforces the strategic role of technology in modernizing educational management and leveraging data as a tool for pedagogical innovation.
