Abstract

The mining industry faces complex ethical issues, ranging from environmental damage to social injustice, creating tensions between economic interests and moral responsibility. Christian values of human dignity, justice, and the mandate of creation management offer an ethical framework for reassessing mining practices. The gap between Christian work ethics and the reality of the field demonstrates the need for a contextual approach to practical theology. This study analyzes the application of Christian work ethics principles in mining dynamics through a qualitative literature study. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method to explore, analyze, and systematize theological thinking about Christian work ethics in relation to the context of the mining industry. The results confirm that morality, social responsibility, and fair relations with local communities are important foundations for the company's legitimacy. The integration of these values strengthens fair and sustainable corporate practices.
