Abstract

Efforts to handle and control waste generated from daily activities in households are still a major challenge in many densely populated areas, including Kampung Bugel Salam RT 02/RW 02, Hegarmanah Village, Bekasi Regency. The implementation of this Community Service (PKM) activity is directed to achieve the goal of empowering the community through the establishment and strengthening of the "Hegar Hijau" Waste Bank as an effort to create a clean and healthy environment. The implementation method uses a community-based participatory approach which includes the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages through socialization, waste sorting training, the establishment of waste bank institutions, and continuous mentoring. The results of the activity show an increase in knowledge, awareness, and community participation in waste management efforts which refers to the principle of resource efficiency through reduction, reuse, and recycling (3R).
