THE ROLE OF QUALIFIED TRUST SERVICES IN STRENGTHENING THE DIGITAL SECURITY OF FIRE PROTECTION UNITS
Abstract
The article is based on a dogmatic and legal analysis of the eIDAS Regulation (Regulation (EU)2024/1183, 2024) and national acts, as well as a process analysis of selected document flow activitiesin Fire Protection Units (FPUs), in particular the State Fire Service (PSP) and Voluntary Fire Brigades(OSP) incorporated into the National Firefighting and Rescue System (KSRG). Risk identificationwas applied for confidentiality, integrity, and availability, followed by mapping of risks to qualifiedtrust services. This made it possible to demonstrate that qualified trust services constitute one of thefoundations of a secure digital transformation of rescue services.
