Warwick in 1989 for his sociological research on doctors' uses of computers.He became Professor of Healthcare Organisation in 2000.He has published widely on the sociology of the professions, and particularly on the impact of New Public Management for health professionals internationally as well as patient and public involvement in healthcare, where again he has worked with colleagues across Europe
