Abstract

Generic social platforms poorly support developer workflows such as sharing readable code, showcasing projects, and engaging in lightweight challenges that build skill and reputation. This work presents TechGram, a developer-focused social platform that organizes profiles around projects, shows code for readability, and offers small coding challenges in order to create a simple, recurrent participation cycle.A web-based implementation will be evaluated using task-centric metrics, such as first-time post creation, snippet reuse in a local editor, challenge submission, and click-through to GitHub/demo links, in addition to usability surveys and clarity assessments. The evaluation will follow the procedures outlined in Section 2, with pre-established success criteria (e.g., major follow-up actions like visiting repositories and valuable snippet reuse). It is meant to determine whether developer-specific affordances reduce posting friction in order to advise a roadmap that prioritizes clear core flows over more social features until empirical data are available.
