Website Vulnerability Scanning System Using Python
Abstract
With the increasing reliance on web applications, security threats such as SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), and misconfigured servers pose serious risks to organizations. To mitigate these vulnerabilities, automated scanning tools are required for proactive security testing. This paper presents the design and implementation of a website vulnerability scanner system developed using Python. The proposed system integrates Google OAuth2 for authentication, supports multiple user roles, and performs automated vulnerability scans on submitted websites.By leveraging Python libraries such as requests, BeautifulSoup, and scapy, the system identifies common security loopholes and generates detailed reports for administrators.Experimental evaluation demonstrates that the scanner provides efficient and accurate detection of vulnerabilities, thereby improving web application security.
