HOW SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCES STUDENTS
Abstract
Social media's everywhere in students' lives now-it shapes how they learn, talk, and connect every day. This study digs into what that really means, looking at both the good and the bad.On the bright side, platforms like Instagram or YouTube hand students instant access to learning materials. It's easier than ever to join online study groups, swap ideas, or just stay in the loop.Lots of students lean into these tools: they watch videos, talk through tough subjects in forums, and pick up new skills fast. But there's another side. When students spend too much time online or don't set limits, focus slips.Distractions pile up, assignments get put off, and sometimes, it's tough to tell what's true and what's not.Plus, all that scrolling can mess with your head-stress, anxiety, and feeling less-than can creep in thanks to endless comparisons and pressure. In the end, social media's a powerful tool, but using it wisely makes all the difference for students learning and well-being.
