AI-Powered disease detection and Pesticide spraying robot
Abstract
This project presents the development of an intelligent agricultural robot system designed to revolutionize crop disease management through automated detection and treatment. The system employs a ESP32 microcontroller as the central processing unit, integrated with advanced computer vision capabilities and precision spraying mechanisms. The robot features a robust four-wheel chassis designed for all-terrain navigation, capable of operating effectively in various field conditions including muddy, rough, and wet surfaces. The system incorporates a high-resolution camera module for continuous crop monitoring and image acquisition.Captured images are processed using machine learning algorithms deployed on cloud infrastructure to identify and classify multiple plant diseases with high accuracy.Upon disease detection, the system automatically selects and deploys the appropriate pesticide from three dedicated tanks, each configured for specific disease types. The spraying mechanism utilizes high-pressure nozzles for targeted application, minimizing pesticide waste and environmental impact. The robot supports both autonomous operation and manual control through a comprehensive web-based dashboard, providing real-time monitoring capabilities and instant notifications.Key features include obstacle avoidance using ultrasonic sensors, adjustable height mechanisms to accommodate different crop types, battery status monitoring, and comprehensive logging of all detection and treatment activities. The system demonstrates significant potential for reducing crop losses, optimizing pesticide usage, and improving overall agricultural efficiency while addressing the growing challenges of modern farming practices. The project successfully integrates multiple technologies including IoT, AI, robotics, and cloud computing to create a scalable and practical solution for smart agriculture applications.
