Agriculture still plays a big role in India's economy and supports countless families.But shaky market prices, poor access to market details, or relying too much on middlemen often eat into small farmers' earnings.Here's KrishiMitra -a web tool powered by data that gives short-term price predictions and clear guidance like "Sell Now" or "Hold Off."It focuses on major crops such as Wheat, Rice, Moong, Chana, and Soybean.Instead of one method, it combines two -Facebook's Prophet model handles seasonal trends well over short periods, while LSTM networks pick up complex patterns over time.The system pulls price data from mandis, cleans it up, enhances features, calculates a 7-day rolling average as a baseline, generates one-week forecasts, then displays everything through an easy-to-use bilingual dashboard made for farmers.The platform focuses on clear processes, flexible data flow, plus real-world choices instead of hidden predictions.During test runs using country-scale fake data, it delivers solid near-term forecasts while offering steps people can actually use -steps that might cut costs and boost income for farmers when used widely.Here's how we built it: what methods we picked, the trial data we ran, how we measured success, thoughts behind the app layout, along with possible financial effects.Next steps?Hooking up live APIs, tips based on storage pricing, a voice-based tool, also tuning results per region.
