ONLINE DOCTOR APPOINTMENT BOOKING SYSTEM

This research presents a comprehensive study on the development and implementation of an Online Doctor Appointment Booking System designed to improve accessibility, efficiency, and reliability in healthcare services.Traditional appointment booking methods rely on manual processes, phone calls, and in-person visits, which often result in long waiting times, scheduling conflicts, and poor patient experience.The proposed web-based system automates the appointment scheduling process by allowing patients to search doctors based on specialization, view real-time availability, and book, reschedule, or cancel appointments online.The system is developed using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js,React.js, and Node.js) to ensure scalability, security, and responsive performance.Role-based authentication enables efficient management for patients, doctors, and administrators.By centralizing appointment data and providing real-time updates, the system reduces administrative workload, minimizes errors, and enhances doctor-patient coordination.The results highlight the system's potential to transform traditional healthcare appointment management by offering a secure, user-friendly, and efficient digital solution aligned with modern healthcare requirements.
