Smart Forest Fire Guardian using Iot
Abstract
Annual forest fires cause extensive ecological damage and significant economic losses worldwide.Early detection and rapid dissemination of warnings are critical for reducing their overall impact. This paper presents an Internet of Things (IoT)-based forest fire alert system designed to continuously monitor key environmental parameters, including ambient temperature, humidity, smoke concentration, and flame presence. The system employs an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with multiple sensors and uses internet connectivity to transmit data for near-real-time monitoring.Alerts are generated automatically when sensor readings exceed predefined threshold values, enabling prompt response. The proposed solution emphasizes affordability, scalability, and low power consumption, making it suitable for deployment in remote forest regions as well as in small-scale environmental monitoring applications [1].
