MINESWEEPER: WIRELESS LAND MINE DETECTION AND TRACKING ROBOT WITH VIDEO SURVEILLANCE
Abstract
The Wireless Land Mine Detection and Tracking Robot with Video Surveillance is an innovative solution designed to enhance safety and efficiency in hazardous environments prone to landmines and unexploded ordnance. This robotic system implements and deploys onboard multiple advanced technologies, including a metal detection module for identifying buried landmines, an ESP32-CAM module for real-time video surveillance, and a GPS module for accurate location tracking. The robot autonomously detects and marks landmine locations with paint, ensuring clear identification for demining teams. The system features a GSM module for sending remote notifications and alerts, and an alert mechanism comprising a buzzer and LED indicators to provide immediate warnings during detection.Wireless control is facilitated through an RF module with a 100-meter operational range, allowing safe remote operation of the robot. This multi-functional robot offers real-time monitoring, automated landmine detection, and precise marking, significantly reducing the risks associated with manual demining operations. The project demonstrates a cost-effective and scalable approach to landmine detection, combining portability, safety, and advanced automation. It aims to provide a reliable tool for military, humanitarian, and environmental applications in regions affected by landmines, contributing to safer and more efficient demining efforts.
