Abstract

3D facial geometry reconstruction from a single 2D image is a fundamental challenge in computer vision, traditionally requiring expensive hardware like depth sensors. This project introduces an efficient, deep learning-based system to generate realistic 3D face models from standard RGB images. The methodology employs a structured pipeline integrating face detection and alignment with a Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN).By extracting hierarchical features and utilizing a 3D Morphable Model (3DMM), the system predicts shape, texture, and pose parameters through differentiable rendering.Evaluation results confirm high visual accuracy and robustness across various lighting and pose conditions, offering a scalable alternative to hardware-dependent systems. This cost-effective solution has significant applications in augmented reality, digital avatars, and human-computer interaction, making high-quality 3D modeling accessible for real-time and large-scale use.
