HEPATITIS C VIRUS PREDICTION USING MACHINE LEARNING
Abstract
Hepatitis C is a viral infection caused by the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) that primarily affects the liver. In many cases, the disease remains asymptomatic for several years, making timely medical intervention difficult. With the increasing availability of clinical data, machine learning techniques have emerged as effective tools to assist healthcare professionals in disease risk assessment. This project presents a machine learning based Hepatitis C prediction system that performs early-stage risk assessment based on patient clinical and laboratory parameters entered by the user. The system acts as a clinical decision support system (CDSS) and does not replace medical diagnosis.A web-based interface is developed using Streamlit, while SQL Server is used for secure authentication and prediction history management.
