LEG WHEEL ROBOT
Abstract
The Leg Wheel Robot is a hybrid robotic system that integrates both wheel-based and leg-like motion using specially designed half wheels. The project utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller as the central control unit, which allows wireless operation of the robot via a smartphone through W i-Fi connectivity. The movement of the robot-forward, backward, left, and right-is controlled by DC motors driven through an L298N motor driver module. To ensure safety during navigation, an camera is incorporated for real-time obstacle detection, enabling the robot to stop when an object is encountered as the visual are visible on the camera.Power is supplied by a 3.7V × 3 lithium-ion battery pack, ensuring reusability and portability. The structural framework is built on a metal chassis, with a plastic enclosure to house the electronic components. The robot demonstrates the effective integration of mechanical design, electronics, and wireless control, making it suitable for applications in automation, obstacle-avoiding systems, and smart robotics research.
