Abstract

The rapid growth of urbanization and industrialization has led to a significant increase in non-biodegradable waste such as plastics, metals, glass, and electronic waste, posing serious environmental and health challenges.Effective management of non-biodegradable waste is essential to reduce pollution, conserve natural resources, and promote sustainable development. This project presents a Non-Biodegradable Waste Management System designed to collect, segregate, process, and recycle waste using a structured and technology-driven approach. The proposed system focuses on waste segregation at the source, followed by systematic collection and classification based on material type.Advanced techniques such as sensor-based identification, database management, and automated sorting mechanisms are used to improve accuracy and efficiency. The system supports recycling, reuse, and safe disposal processes, thereby minimizing landfill usage and environmental impact.Data analytics and monitoring tools help track waste generation patterns and optimize waste handling operations. This project aims to enhance recycling efficiency, reduce manual labor, and support eco-friendly waste management practices. The Non-Biodegradable Waste Management System contributes to environmental sustainability by promoting resource recovery, reducing pollution, and aligning with smart city and circular economy initiatives.
