CHAOTIC MAP-BASED COLOR IMAGE ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM
Abstract
Sensitive information can be misused by unauthorized parties, making secure image transmission over the Internet crucial. An algorithm for encrypting images based on chaotic maps is suggested as a solution to this problem. The algorithm creates a very secure encryption key by using a logistic map.Image splitting, scrambling, key generation, and diffusion are the four primary steps in the encryption process. The input image is first split into three color channels: blue, green, and red.A scrambled image is produced by recombining these channels after they have been scrambled using Baker's map.By adding a high degree of randomness and a strong sensitivity to initial conditions, this scrambling stage improves security. The encrypted image is then obtained by XORing the scrambled image with the generated chaotic key.The steps in the encryption process are reversed in the decryption process. The suggested image encryption technique offers a high degree of security against a variety of attacks, including brute-force and statistical attacks, according to experimental results. As a result, the algorithm works well to protect private picture data while it is being transmitted over the Internet. All things considered, the chaotic map-based image encryption method improves privacy and data confidentiality in online applications by providing a dependable and safe solution for image protection.
