Use of Artificial Intelligence in Farming for Crop Disease Detection
Abstract
Agriculture is the backbone of many economies, especially in developing countries.Crop diseases cause significant yield loss and economic damage to farmers every year.Traditional disease detection methods depend on manual inspection by experts, which is time-consuming, costly, and often unavailable in rural areas.Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers an effective solution by enabling early and accurate detection of crop diseases using image processing and machine learning techniques. This paper studies the role of AI in farming for detecting plant diseases, discusses commonly used techniques, and highlights benefits, challenges, and future scope of AI-based disease detection systems.
