Secret Communication using multi Image steganography and face Recognition
Abstract
Secure communication over open networks is a major concern due to increasing cyber threats and data breaches.Traditional single-image steganography techniques are vulnerable to detection and unauthorized access. To address these issues, this project proposes a secure communication system using multi-image steganography combined with face recognition authentication. The secret message is first divided into multiple segments to improve confidentiality. Each segment is embedded into a different cover image using the Least Significant Bit (LSB) technique, ensuring minimal visual distortion.Distributing the message across multiple images significantly reduces the risk of complete data exposure. At the receiver end, face recognition-based biometric authentication is applied to verify the identity of the user.Only authenticated users are allowed to extract and reconstruct the hidden message. This additional security layer prevents unauthorized access to sensitive information. The proposed system enhances data confidentiality, integrity, and authentication.Experimental results show that the method is robust against basic steganalysis attacks. The system is efficient, cost-effective, and easy to implement. It is suitable for applications requiring high security such as military, banking, and government communications.
