Bluetooth and Voice-controlled robotic vehicle
Abstract
The Bluetooth and Voice Controlled Robotic Vehicle using Arduino Uno is an embedded systems-based project designed to demonstrate wireless robotic control through a smartphone interface. The system aims to overcome limitations of traditional wired and manually operated robotic platforms by enabling flexible, realtime control using Bluetooth communication and voice-based commands. It provides a user-friendly and costeffective solution for controlling a robotic vehicle without physical contact, making it suitable for educational, research, and automation applications. The system utilizes an Arduino Uno microcontroller as the central control unit, integrated with a Bluetooth module (HC-05/HC-06) for wireless data transmission and a motor driver shield (L293D/AFMotor) to control DC motors.A mobile application installed on a smartphone serves as the primary input interface, allowing users to operate the robot using either on-screen directional buttons or voice commands. In voice control mode, spoken commands are converted into text by the mobile application and transmitted to the robotic system via Bluetooth serial communication. The Arduino processes the received commands and generates appropriate control signals to drive the motors, enabling movements such as forward, backward, left, right, and stop. The robotic vehicle supports dual operational modes-remote control mode for continuous manual navigation and voice control mode for short, command-based movementsoffering flexibility and ease of operation. The system operates in real time with minimal latency, ensuring responsive control and reliable movement execution.By combining wireless communication, embedded control logic, and modular hardware design, the Bluetooth and Voice Controlled Robotic Vehicle demonstrates practical implementation of smart control technologies.
