PREECLAMPSIA: A COMPREHENSIVE CLINICAL REVIEW
Abstract
Preeclampsia is a multisystem hypertensive complaint unique to gestation, characterized by new- onset hypertension and frequently proteinuria after 20 weeks of gravidity. It remains a top cause of motherly and perinatal morbidity and mortality worldwide, especially in low- and middle- income countries (WHO, 2011). This review provides an in- depth disquisition of its epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical diapason, individual criteria, and contemporary operation strategies. Emphasizing a case- centered, multidisciplinary approach, we bandy current substantiation for forestallment, timely intervention, and postpartum follow- up. The end is to equip clinicians with a holistic understanding to ameliorate issues for maters and babies affected by this complex pattern.
